Charles L. Truesdale

Mr. Charles L. Truesdale, age 80, beloved husband to Mrs. Deborah Truesdale, entered into rest on Monday May 27, 2024.

In addition to his wife he is survived by his son, Rodney (Charlene) Truesdale, Scott (Melissa) Truesdale, Chris (Trish) Truesdale, Adam (Tara) Truesdale; daughters, Heather Truesdale, Jennifer Branham Boulware; brother, Coley "Jay Bird" Truesdale; sisters, Tiny Mae Branham, Betty Ruth McGennis; seventeen grandchildren and many great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Cole Blease Truesdale and Lillie Mae Sellers; and sisters, Clara Hammons.

Mr. Truesdale was in law enforcement for over 25 years serving with Aiken County Government and USC Aiken. He was a member of Sweetwater Church of God and attended Souls Harvest Church of God in later years. He also served as the Chief of Police for Burnettown South Carolina, before his retirement. After retirement, Mr. Truesdale decided to continue working. This time, as a Bailiff for the Second Judicial Circuit Court System. He will be greatly missed by his family and all whose lives he touched in his many years of faithful service to his community.

A funeral service honoring his life and legacy will be held on Friday May 31, 2024 at 1pm in the chapel of Napier Funeral Home & Crematory with Pastor Brad Jay officiating. The interment will immediately follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Graniteville, SC. The family will receive friends on Thursday evening May 30, 2024 from 6-8pm at the funeral home.


Pallbearers will be: Michael Truesdale, Elijah Boulware, Kris Evensen, Andy Truesdale, Brad Truesdale and Scott Hornsby.
