Charles D. Kneece

December 31, 1969 — February 20, 2015

KNEECE-Charles D. Kneece, age 77, of Trenton, S.C., husband of the late Margaret Berry Kneece and son of the late Charlie and Lucy K. Kneece, entered into eternal rest on Friday, February 20, 2015. He is survived by daughters: Karen (John) Mazzola of Sterling, VA., Sheryl (Dennis) Lundblade, Yvonne “Skeet” Brunson, Faye (David) Golding and Mary Barker all of Aiken, S.C.; sisters, Patsy Jarrett of Aiken, S.C. and Mary (Ronnie) Hawthorne of Wimberley, TX; brothers, Milledge “Jimmy” Kneece of Trenton, S.C. and Bobby (Twyla) Kneece of North Augusta, S.C.; a grandson, Sean (Davina) Power of Bath, S.C., who he raised and loved as his son; his grandchildren and great grandchildren, who were as special to him as he was to them and his many nieces and nephews. In addition to his beloved wife, he was preceded in death by a son, James H. Hankinson. He was born in Graniteville, S.C. and was a lifelong resident of Aiken County, S.C. He was a member of Graniteville First Baptist Church. He retired as a Heavy Equipment Operator with J. M. Huber Corporation after twenty-eight years of dedicated service. He was a member of Graniteville Masonic Star Lodge #99 and was also a member of Scottish Rite Masonry, York Rite Masonry and Jamil Shrine Center. His family stated that he was a good man, who loved God, his family, friends and his country. He was an avid outdoorsman, who loved hunting, fishing and gardening. He will be greatly missed by all who loved him. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday evening from 5:00 to 7:00 PM. A graveside service of remembrance with Masonic Rites will be held at the Graniteville Cemetery on Friday, February 27, 2015 at 1:00 PM with Rev. Gene Wilson officiating. Memorials may be made to the Shriners Hospital for Children, 950 W. Faris Road, Greenville, S.C. 29605.
