PARKER-Mr. Cecil A.â€Pop†Parker, age 93, of Graniteville, S.C., husband of the late Kella Redd Parker of 66 years and son of the late Chester A. Parker and the late Elma Louise Jordan Parker, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, October, 5, 2014. He is survived by daughters, Brenda (Harry) Walker of Aiken, S.C., Freida (Roy) Burton of Savannah, Ga. and Rebecca Parker of Graniteville, S.C.; five grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren. He was born in Greenwood, S.C. but has been a resident of Aiken County, S.C. most of his life. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Graniteville. He was a member and the oldest living Past Master in the Masonic Lodge #99 in Graniteville, S.C. He loved to plant a vegetable garden. He enjoyed riding his dog “Pretty Boy†around and sitting on his deck. He was a retired millwright worker with Clearwater Finishing Plant and Graniteville Company. He shall be greatly missed by all whose lives he touched during the 93 precious years that God granted him on this earth; however, life does not end with death, as God has promised eternal life for all who believe and trust in Him. “To be absent from the body is to be present with Godâ€. A service celebrating his life and home going will be held in the Chapel of Napier Funeral Home on Saturday, October 11, 2014 at 1:00 PM with Rev. James Young officiating. The interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens with Masonic Rites. The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon until the hour of service on Saturday. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that memorials be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital A.L.S.A.C., 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105.
