Catherine N. Cooper

COOPER-Catherine N. Cooper, age 62, of Aiken, S.C, passed away on December 15, 2014 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born on January 6, 1952 to the late James M. and Catherine S. Nappier of Gloverville, S.C. She was retired from Owens-Corning Fiberglas of Aiken. Catherine is survived by her husband of 35 years, C. Rodney Cooper, Sr.; sons, James (Shelia) Rutland and Rodney (Lisa) Cooper, Jr. and a daughter, Mandy (Paul) Hartley. She is also survived by a sister, Peggy Autry of Batesburg, S.C.; brothers, Curtis (Kathie) Nappier of Aiken and Marvin (Mary) Nappier of Pensacola, Florida; her mother-in-law, Susie Cooper of Perry, S.C.; two sisters-in-law, Linda (Mark) Redd of Wagener, S.C. and Terry (Ray) Bolen of Perry, S.C.; her grandchildren, Danny Rutland, Justin Rutland, Brandon Rutland, Dalton Cooper, Jason Hartley, Joseph Hartley and a great grandchild, Kelsey Renea Rutland. She is also survived by a number of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Bro. Jimmie Nappier, Sis. Frankie N. Hammond; brothers-in-law, Robert Hammond and Carry Autry and a granddaughter, Kimberly Rutland. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday evening, December 18th from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. A service, celebrating her life, will be held in the Chapel of Napier Funeral Home on Friday, December 19, 2014 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Roger Hunnicutt officiating. The entombment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Graniteville, S.C. The Pallbearers will be Donald DeLoach,Jr., Justin Rutland, Danny Rutland, Tony Nappier, Neil Nappier and Joshua Nappier. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of one’s choice in Catherine’s honor.
