Carol Olivia Fricks Turner

TURNER-Mrs. Carol Olivia Fricks Turner, age 70, of Aiken, S.C., loving wife of James H. Turner and daughter of the late Illius Fricks and the late Bessie King Fricks entered into rest on Wednesday, February 6, 2013. In addition to her husband, she is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, Michael and CE-CY Turner of Aiken, S.C., Sammy and Theresa Turner of Clearwater, S.C.; a daughter and son-in-law, Julie and Keith Stanton of Columbia, S.C.; a sister, Jean Wright of North Augusta, S.C. and six grandchildren, Aidan, Jessica, Noah, Mara, Levi and Nikki. She was born in and was a lifelong resident of Aiken County, S.C. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Aiken. She also enjoyed attending services with her family at Millbrook Baptist Church in Aiken. She was a Designer/Florist serving the local area with her beautiful floral arrangements for years. She was a member of FTD and the Georgia State Floral Association. She was also a member of the Silver Sneakers Club; where she enjoyed her friends, yoga and of course some good gossip. She loved her family very much, and next to her family, came her love for her visits to Edisto Beach. Olivia, as she was so fondly known by her family and friends, shall be greatly missed by all whose lives she touched along the way; however she shall live on forever in everyone’s hearts. The family will receive friends at the funeral home this Friday evening, February 8th from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. A service celebrating her life and home going will be held in the Chapel of Napier Funeral Home, Saturday, February 9th at 1:00 PM with Dr. Chris Masters officiating. The interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Langley,S.C. The pallbearers will be Adrian Weaver, Jack Sayers, Bruce Turner, Gary Turner, Steve Wooten and Lynn Green. Members of the Silver Sneakers Club will serve as Honorary pallbearers. Memorials, in Olivia’s honor, may be made to the American Cancer Society, 128 Stonemark Lane, Columbia, S.C. 29210.
