Carldean Ashley

Mr. Carldean Ashley, age 74, beloved husband of 56 years to Mrs. Linda Gale LeRoy Ashley, went home to be with the Lord on Monday September 18, 2023.

In addition to his wife he is survived by his mother, Annie Lou Black Ashley; sons, Dean (Kimberly) Ashley, Thad (Chay) Ashley; daughters, Melissa  Gove, Kim Bledsoe; sister, Marsha (George) Webb; his twin sister, Arlean Ashley; brothers, G.W. (Kay) Ashley, Kieth Ashley; sister-in-law, Debra Ashley; grandchildren, Austin (Lindsey) Ashley, Charity Ashley, Patience Ashley, Chase Ashley, Nicholas Gove, Nathaniel Gove, Truett Ashley, Leyton Ashley, Breanna Markel, Chloe Reeves, Joseph Reeves, and Trisha Bledsoe; great grandchildren, Isaiah Bledsoe, Waylon Ashley and Layne Ashley.

He is preceded in death by his father, Carlton Eugene Ashley; brother, Darnell Ashley; and granddaughter, Lisa Bledsoe.

Mr. Ashley was a cabinet builder and woodworker by trade, and was a faithful Christian who loved and served the Lord. He was a member of the Sweetwater Church of God where he served as a church councilman and was an active member of the Vintage Warrior Senior Adult Ministry at Sweetwater Church of God. He will be deeply missed by all whose lives he touched. 

A funeral service honoring his life and legacy will be held on Thursday September 21, 2023 at 11AM at Sweetwater Church of God with Pastor Curtis Terry and Pastor Larry Flippo Officiating. The interment will immediately follow at Pineview Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening September 20, 2023 from 6-8pm at the church.

Pallbearers will be Mr. Ashley's grandsons: Austin Ashley, Nicholas Gove, Nathaniel Gove, Chase Ashley, Truett Ashley and Isaiah Bledsoe. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Vintage Warriors Senior Adult Ministry.
