Brenda Cagle Spires

SPIRES-Mrs. Brenda Diane Cagle Spires, age 63, of Aiken, S.C., loving wife of Gary Spires, Sr. and daughter of Nellie Evelyn Rauch Cagle and the late George Cagle, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, September 29, 2011. In addition to her husband and mother, she is survived by a daughter, Cara Jean Spires of Aiken, S.C.; sons, Gary (Nicki) Spires, Jr. and Donnie (Selisa) Spires both of Bath, S.C., Shane (Tina) Spires, Sr. and Kevin (Tammy) Spires, Sr. both of Aiken, S.C.; sisters, Gwen Henderson of Easley, S.C., Reba Hill of Lexington, S.C. and Susan Bible of Katy, Texas; fifteen grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. She was born in Columbia, S. C. but has been a resident of Aiken County for a number of years. She was a homemaker and was of the Baptist faith. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother and friend to all. Next to her love for her family, came her love for her animals; she referred to her pets as her babies. She also enjoyed working with crafts. Yes, someone with such a big heart for her family and her animals shall be greatly missed; however, there is a consolation in knowing that life does not end with death as God promises eternal life, and she shall live on in the hearts of all whose lives she touched. A memorial service celebrating her life will be held at a date and time to be announced. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Brenda’s honor, may be made to Aiken SPCA, 401 Wire Road, Aiken, S. C. 29801.
