Blanche Burdette Boone

BOONE-Ms. Blanche Burdette Boone, age 87 of Augusta, Ga., wife of the late James Boone and daughter of the late Ralph Burdette and the late Lula Medlock Burdette, entered into eternal rest on Friday, September 27, 2013. She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Mary and David Manuel of Warrenville, S.C.; a grandson, James Boone of Westminister. S. C.; a great granddaughter, Amanda Boone of Batesburg, S.C. and great -great grandsons, Caleb and Marcus Cook of Batesburg, S.C. She was born in Edgefield, S.C. She was a resident of Aiken County for approximately 43 years but has spent the last 10 years of her life in Augusta, Ga. She was a member of Gilgal Baptist Church in Edgefield, S.C. She was a homemaker and the family stated that she was a very generous lady who had a deep love for animals of all kind. They further stated that she was probably best known to most people as the “Bicycle Lady” as she loved to ride her bicycle; and this she did up to her late 70’s. She shall be greatly missed by her family and friends; however, she has finished life’s journey and is now at peace with her maker in a land where all is joy and peace and no more sad goodbyes are ever spoken. The family will receive friends at the funeral home this Sunday evening, September 29th from 7:00 until 9:00 PM. A service celebrating her life and home going will be held Monday, September 30, 2013 at 3:00 PM in the Chapel of Napier Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Boone officiating.
