BROWN- Birdie Cooper Brown, age 85, of Aiken, S.C., wife of the late Arthur D. Brown and daughter of the late Etheridge and Mary Mills Cooper, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, May 31, 2015. She is survived by daughters, Frances B. (Carl) Wilson of Liberty, S.C. and Mary B. (Billy) Wright of Aiken, S.C.; a son, Davis (Arlene) Brown. Jr. of Selma, N.C.; eight grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. She was born in Windsor, S.C. and has been a lifelong resident of Aiken County, S.C. She attended Pickens View Wesleyan Church and Talatha Baptist Church. Her family stated that she was a hardworker, who adored her family and her Lord. She always greeted everyone with a genuine beautiful smile. She was a loving mother, grandmother and friend. She shall be greatly missed by all whose lives she touched during the 85 precious years that God granted her on this earth. She has finished her journey and is now at peace with her Maker, the Lord Jesus Christ and is now rejoicing on the Hills of Glory. The family will receive friends at the funeral home this Tuesday evening, June 2nd from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. A service, celebrating her life and homegoing, will be held in the Chapel of Napier Funeral Home on Wednesday, June 3, 2015 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Lewis Edwards and Rev. Steve Cartin officiating. The interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Her grandsons and Doug Rhoden will serve as Pallbearers. Members of her Sunday School Class will serve as Honorary Pallbearers.
