Betty Wooten Ginnery

Betty Wooten Ginnery, 85, peacefully entered into eternal rest on November 6, 2023, in her home surrounded by her loving family.

Betty was born in Wagner, daughter of Viola and James Wooten and was a lifelong resident of Vaucluse.  She was a longtime member of Vaucluse First Baptist where she had been a leader in the Children’s ministry.  She had a true servant’s heart and loved doing things for others in the community.  She was also an avid gardener but most of all she was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

Betty is survived by her beloved husband of 67 years, Jack Eugene Ginnery, her daughters Pam Overstreet and Karen Melton, six grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents, a son Kirt Ginnery, a grandchild Rachel Ginnery, a brother David Wooten and sisters Doris Reese, Helen Montgomery and Peggy Sturkie.

A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday November 12, 2023, at 2:00 PM at Vaucluse Baptist Church, 2 Church Street, Vaucluse, SC  29801.
