BETTY MATTOX BURTON

December 31, 1969 — October 2, 2010

BURTON-Entered into eternal rest on Saturday, October 2, 2010 at Aiken Regional Medical Center, Mrs. Betty Mattox Burton, age 71 of Aiken, S. C., beloved wife of F. Eugene Burton and daughter of the late Colie Mattox, the late Gene Woodward and the late Vertice Crook Mattox Woodward. In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Gina Regan and her husband, William and Carla Cribb all of Aiken, S. C., five grandchildren and five great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Yvette Cribb; two grandsons, Gail Cribb and Louis Cribb. She was born in Lincolnton, Georgia but has been a lifelong resident of Aiken County. She was of the Baptist faith. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Next to her family, she had a great love for animals; especially her cat and dogs. Needless to say, she shall be greatly missed by her family, friends and all whose lives she touched during the 71 years that God granted her on this earth; however, life for her has not ended; just only begun in a better land with no more pain or sorrow. A graveside service will be conducted on Wednesday, October 6, 2010 at 1:00 PM at the Graniteville Cemetery with Speaker Steve Woodward officiating. The family will receive friends at Napier Funeral Home Tuesday evening, October 5th from 7:00 to 9:00 PM. Family and friends are asked to meet at the graveside by 12:45 PM on Wednesday, the day of the service. Napier Funeral Home, 315 Main St., Graniteville, S.C. is in charge of the funeral arrangements.
