BOOTH-Betty New Booth, age 83 of Aiken, S.C., widow of James T. Booth and daughter of the late Darling New and the late Margie Powell New, entered into eternal rest at her daughter’s residence on Saturday, July 1, 2017. She is survived by a daughter, Cynthia Sanders of Aiken, S.C.; a sister, Patsy Cloutier of Biloxi, Mississippi; grandchildren, Randy Gay and his fiancée, Tanya Oakley of Aiken, S.C. and April (David) Powell of Beaufort, S.C. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Phyllis Richardson. She was born in and was a lifelong resident of Aiken County, S.C. She worked as a Head Cashier at Bilo’s for forty years. She was a member of Harvest Baptist Church in Aiken, S.C. She loved her family and everybody, as she never met a stranger. She would do anything for anyone that needed help. The world would definitely be a better place with more people like her. A service, celebrating her life and homegoing, will be held in the Chapel of Napier Funeral Home on Thursday, July 6, 2017 at 1:00 PM with Rev. Glenn Davis and Rev. Bobby Grover officiating. The interment will follow at Shiloh Baptist Church Cemetery in Aiken. The Pallbearers will be Steve Biggs, Elmer Hatcher, Neil Reece, Ricky Sanders, Raymond Stone and Randy Gay. Memorials may be made to the Alzeheimer’s Assoc., 140 Stoneridge Dr., Suite 210, Columbia, S.C. 29210. The family wishes to extend a heartfelt “Thank You” to her guardian angels, Ann Bass, Ramona Schultz and Karina Pixley; also to Regency Hospice for their loving care.
