Betty Eubanks Bishop

BISHOP–Mrs. Betty Eubanks Bishop, age 80, of Warrenville, S.C. wife of the late Auburn Bishop and daughter of the late H. A. Eubanks and the late Emma Anderson Eubanks, answered God’s call on Tuesday, December 11, 2012. She is survived by a daughter, Gisele (Eddie) Reece; sons, Glenn (Susan) Bishop and Preston (Linda) Bishop all of Warrenville, S.C.; a sister, Nellie Grammer of Tennessee; a brother, Osbon Eubanks of Atlanta, Ga.; eight grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. She was born in and was a lifelong resident of Aiken County. In her working years, she worked in the cafeteria for the Aiken County School District. She was a faithful, and up to her failing health, a very active member of the Gloverville Pentecostal Holiness Church, where she taught Sunday School and was a member of the Women’s Auxiliary for many years. She was a very smart and intelligent lady and could carry on a conversation with the best of them. She loved to cook and could prepare most anything, but her specialty was baking delicious pies and cakes. In addition to being a wonderful cook, she had time to be a loving wife, mother, sister and grandmother. Yes, she shall be greatly missed by her family, many friends and all whose lives she touched during the 80 precious years that God granted her on this earth; however, life for her has not ended, as God has promised eternal life for all who believe and trust in Him. Her new Heavenly home will be in a place with no more tears or sad goodbyes for all will be joy and peace in that land. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday evening, December 13th from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. A service celebrating her life will be held on Friday, December 14th at 12:00 noon in the Chapel of Napier Funeral Home with Rev. Roland Smith and Rev. Clint Jackson officiating. The interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Graniteville. The pallbearers will be grandsons.
