Barbara Gail Mikell Smith

SMITH-Mrs. Barbara Gail Mikell Smith, age 64, of Aiken, S. C., wife of the late Robert Lee Smith and daughter of the late Lawrence Mikell and the late Mary Simmons, entered into rest on Tuesday, April 30, 2013. She is survived by daughters, Roberta (Thomas) Newman of Aiken and Mary Jennings of Atlantic Beach, Florida; sons, Lee (Donna) Smith of Beech Island, S.C., Richard Smith of Ridge Spring, S.C. and Charles Jennings of Gloverville, S.C.; A a sister , Lucy Stone of Nwe Ellenton, S>C> a brother Bobby Mikell of Iva, S. C.: fifteen grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. She was born in and was a lifelong resident of Aiken County, S.C. She was of the Pentecostal Faith. She was a loving mother, sister, grandmother and friend. Next to her family, came her great love for attending auctions; and almost any day of the week, you could probably find her at Palmetto Auction in Aiken. She will truly be missed by her family and friends; however, death cannot destroy precious memories, and she shall live on forever in the hearts of her loved ones. A service celebrating her life will be held on Thursday, May 2nd at 3:00 PM at Full Gospel Redemption Center in Langley, S. C. with Rev. Chris Williams, Rev. Birdie Altman and Rev. Ray Taylor officiating. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service. The interment will be private.
