ADAMS-Mrs. Barbara New Adams, age 73, of Graniteville, S.C., loving wife for 53 years to Johnny Adams and daughter of the late Willie and Lucy Bailey New, entered into eternal rest on Friday, November 14, 2014. In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, Chris Adams of Graniteville; a sister, Patsy (Rick) Cloutier of Gulf Port, Mississippi; a grandson, Jesse Adams and a great granddaughter, a sister-in-law, Teresa New of Graniteville; nieces, Jamie New, Sarah New Griffis (Josh & Maggie Griffis) and Will New (Brennan New) She was preceded in death by two grandsons, Matthew Dillon and Christopher Dalton Adams and a brother, Dickie New. She was born in Augusta, Ga., but has been a lifelong resident of Graniteville. She was a member of Christian Heritage Church in Graniteville. She retired from Olin Mills Studio as a TSA Manager. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend. She shall be greatly missed by her family and all whose lives she touched during the 73 precious years that God granted her on this earth. She has finished life’s journey and is now at peace with her Maker, the Lord Jesus Christ. Earth’s loss is truly, Heaven’s gain. A service, celebrating her life and home going, will be held at Christian Heritage Church in Graniteville on Tuesday, November 18, 2014 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Jody Padgett and Rev. Jonathan Randall officiating. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service. The interment will follow the service at the Graniteville Cemetery. The Pallbearers will be Rev. Jody Padgett, Will New, David Abney, Daniel Abney, Clyde Harkins and Jerry Beard.
