Barbara Ann Stone Johnson

Mrs. Barbara Ann Stone Johnson of Graniteville S.C., 85, went to her heavenly home Friday, June 10, 2022. She was known to family and friends as BobBran.

She was a beloved wife for 52 years to the late Levins Johnson and the daughter of the late Arlie Stone and the late Eva Widener Stone Burckhalter. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Ruby Borst, and step-father, James Burckhalter.

She is survived by her daughter, Cheryl Johnson; sister, Wanda Shealy; brother, Rick (Jo) Burckhalter; sisters-in-law, Zula Mae Johnson, and Sarah Johnson; and many nieces and nephews and a very special and devoted friend Hazel Turner.

Barbara was born in Windsor, S.C., but the Graniteville/Warrenville area has been her home for the past 80 years. She was a very devoted and loving wife, daughter, mother, sister, and friend. Her unselfishness began as a child and she continued to lovingly give as she saw a need. Her home-cooked meals were enjoyed by all who had the pleasure to sit at her table. Her smile and dry sense of humor will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

A Funeral Service, celebrating her life, will be held at the Chapel of Napier Funeral Home Tuesday, June 14, 2022, at 3 P.M. with Rev. Bob Boone officiating. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. The burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers will be nephews: Brad Shealy, Matthew Shealy, Ricky Burckhalter, Zachary Shealy, Jimmy Johnson, and Ryan Metts.

A special ‘heartfelt’ thank you to Donna Roberts who faithfully assisted caring for Barbara during the past 2 years and to the entire staff of Regency Hospice who gave special care to Barbara since March 2020, with a special ‘heartfelt’ thank you to Mildred, Virgile, Amy, and Christian.
