JACKSON-Azilee New Brooks Jackson, age 92 of Aiken, S.C., wife of the late Leon W. Brooks and the late Arnold Jackson, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, November 12, 2015. She was the daughter of the late John W. New and the late Alma Mundy New Snipes. She is survived by a son, Johnny (Barbara) Brooks of Aiken, S.C.; daughters, Anna Holsenback of Aiken, S.C. and Patsy A. (Johnny) Giddens of Sumner, Ga.; sisters, Betty N. Lewis of Aiken, S.C., Grace Day of Windsor, S.C. and Jean (Dan) McNulty of Gilbert, S.C.; seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Phillip New and Charlie New and two sisters, Annie Davis and Eunice Newman. She was born in and was a lifelong resident of Aiken County, S.C. During her working days, she was a machine operator with Riegel Textile Co. She was a member of Levels Baptist Church in Aiken and was also a member of the Bethany Sunday School Class. She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother and sister. She shall be greatly missed by her family, friends and all whose lives she touched during the 92 years that God granted her on this earth. Death cannot destroy precious memories, and she shall live on forever in the lives of her loved ones. She is now in her new Heavenly home in a land of endless tomorrows, where all is joy and peace and no more sad goodbyes are ever spoken. A service, celebrating her life and homegoing will be held at Levels Baptist Church on Monday, November 16, 2015 at 1:00 PM with Rev. Clint Bartlett officiating. The interment will follow at the Church Cemetery. The Pallbearers will be Jeremy Brooks, Joseph Brooks, James Snipes, Tommy Seigler, David Seigler and John Seigler. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service. Napier Funeral Home, 315 Main St., Graniteville, S.C. 29829 is in charge of the funeral arrangements.
