ROLLINS- Austin R. Rollins, age 79, of Aiken, S.C., Son of the late Paul and Louise Rollins, entered into eternal rest on Thursday May 19th, 2016 at his home. Mr. Rollins was survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Roland A. and Nancy Rollins; a daughter and son-in-law Robyn A. and Derwin Hunt; brothers and sisters-in-law, Wiley (Mary) Rollins, Robert P. “Bobby†(Mae) Rollins; sisters and brothers-in-law, Joyce (Jim) Cochran, June (Frank) Parker and one granddaughter, Dana N. Burch. Mr. Rollins was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Velma Rollins. He was a lifetime resident of Aiken, S.C. and graduate of Aiken High School, Class of 1955. Mr. Rollins served our great country in the U. S. Air Force as an A/2C E-3 Radar Specialist for four years, and was a well respected mechanic in the Aiken area. He retired from Aiken County Public Works. Mr. Rollins shall be greatly missed by all of his friends and family whose lives he touch over the 79 years that God granted him on this earth; however, death is not the end and his memory shall live on forever in the hearts of those whom he loved. A service celebrating his life will be held on Tuesday, May 24th, 2016 at 3:00 PM at Redd’s Branch Baptist Church in Aiken S.C. with the Rev. Bobby Grover and Rev. Richard McWhite Officiating. The Family will receive friends at the church from 2:00 PM until the time of service. The interment will follow the service at Redd’s Branch Baptist church Cemetery. If you wish to make any memorials, please make them to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN, in Honor of Mr. Rollins.
