Audrey Ann Mays Coogler

Coogler-Audrey Ann Mays Coogler, age 77, of Belvedere, S. C., wife of the late Ezell Coogler, Sr. and daughter of the late Red Mays and the late Willie LaFavor Mays, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, January 19, 2016. She is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Debra C. (Joel) Adams, Betty Jean (Rodney) Duncan of Pelion, S.C., Shirley (Dave) Dorland of Sweetwater, S.C. and Tina Newton of North Augusta, S.C.; a son, Ezell H. Coogler, Jr. of Belvedere, S.C.; a dear friend, Mildred Williams; eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren. In addition to her spouse and parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Charles Mays. She retired from the King Mill in Augusta, Ga. She was of the Baptist Faith. The family stated that she was a wonderful mother, grandmother and friend who loved her children with all her heart. She also loved her little dog, “Baby Girl”. She shall be greatly missed by her family and all whose lives she touched during her lifetime here on earth. Death cannot destroy precious memories, and she shall live on forever in the hearts of her loved ones. She has finished life’s journey and is now at peace with her Maker, the Lord Jesus Christ. Earth’s loss is truly Heaven’s gain. The family will receive friends at the funeral home this Wednesday evening, January 20th from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. A service, celebrating her life and home going, will be held in the Chapel of Napier Funeral Home on Thursday, January 21, 2016 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Clinton D. Jackson officiating. The interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Graniteville, S.C. The Pallbearers will be Ezell Coogler, Jr., Joel Adams, Michael Adams, Dave Dorland, Greg Bouchar and Brad Duncan.
