GUNTER-Mr. Ansel Dewayne “Frog†Gunter, age 64, of Graniteville, S.C., husband of Phyllis Rhoden Gunter and son of the late Harvey D. Gunter and the late Emmette Langford Gunter, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, September 18, 2012. In addition to his wife, he is survived by sons; Lee Gunter of Graniteville, S.C. and Daniel (Ashley) Gunter of Belvedere, S.C.; sisters, Annette Kripps of Aiken and Brenda (Vernon) Holmes of Plum Branch, S.C.; brothers, L. J. (Geni) Gunter of Graniteville, S.C. and Harvey (Marie) Gunter of Aiken, S.C.; grandchildren, Joshua and Charity Gunter and a number of nieces and nephews. He was born in Columbia, S.C. but has been a lifelong resident of Aiken County, S.C. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Graniteville. He retired from Avondale Mills. He loved camping, cooking and eating. Next to his family, came his love for his dog, Rusty, who always went with him on his junk collecting excursions; yes, he was an avid junk collector. Dewayne, as he was so fondly known to his family and many friends, will always be remembered by his family as a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. The family will receive friends at the funeral home this Thursday evening, September 20th from 6:00 until 8:00 PM. A graveside service, celebrating his life, will be held at the Graniteville Cemetery, Friday, September 21st at 5:00 PM. Family and friends are asked to meet at the graveside by 4:45 PM.
