Annie Marie Wood Stinson

STINSON- Ms. Annie Marie Wood Stinson, age 102, of Warrenville, S. C., wife of the late Johnnie Stinson and daughter of the late Willie C. Wood and the late Eunice Armstrong Wood, entered into eternal rest on Friday, September 14, 2012. She is survived by a daughter, Jean S. Durden of Warrenville; grandchildren and their spouses, Johnny and Nancy Durden, Linda and Bob Dean, Joan Retherford, Bill and Shelly Stinson, Bob and Vivian Stinson and Kathy Hopkins; fourteen great grandchildren and seven great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sons, John Billy Stinson and Jack Stinson. She was born in and was a lifelong resident of Aiken County, S.C. She was retired from Graniteville Company. She was a member of Warrenville First Baptist Church, the Warrenville Leisure Club and the Warrenville Woman’s Club. Her hobbies included sewing. She was a loving mother and grandmother with a great personality. She shall be greatly missed by her family, many friends and all whose lives she touched during the 102 precious years that God granted her on this earth; and although her life span was more than most people live, life still hasn’t ceased for her, as she has just made a transition to her new Heavenly home where life and love never ends. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday evening, September 17th from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. A service celebrating her life and home going will be held on Tuesday, September 18, 2012 at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of Napier Funeral Home with Rev. Arthur Zawislak officiating. The interment will follow at the Graniteville Cemetery. Her grandsons and great grandsons will serve as pallbearers. If so desired, memorials, in her honor, may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
