She was a member of NSA (National Secretaries Assoc.), where she was voted Secretary of the Year. She was Grand Royal Matron of The Amaranth. Up to her failing health, she was a very dedicated and active member of Shiloh Baptist Church in Aiken; having taught Sunday School for a number of years, and she really enjoyed singing in the choir. Ann, as she was so fondly known by her family and friends, was a real easy going, soft spoken and caring person, who was always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone who needed her assistance. She had an unconditional love for her family and friends. Needless to say, she shall be greatly missed by all whose lives she touched during the 78 years that God granted her on this earth; however, life does not end with death, as the gift of God is eternal life in a better land with no more pain or sorrow. Yes, to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. A service celebrating Ann’s life will be held on Saturday, August 6, 2011 at 11:00 AM at Shiloh Baptist Church with Rev. Louie Anderson and Rev. Taylor Wells officiating. The interment will follow at the church cemetery. The pallbearers will be Larsen Boatwright, Patrick Winkler, Glenn Craig, Lynn Craig, Mark Thomas and Wayne Winkler. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service.
