ANNELLE BARNES BOYD

BOYD- Entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, November 9, 2010, Mrs. Annelle Barnes Boyd, age 81 of Graniteville, S. C., loving wife for 63 years to Robert Boyd and daughter of the late Albert T. Barnes and the late Annie Bearden Barnes. She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Roger and Deborah Boyd of Graniteville; a daughter and son-in-law, April and Brian Smith of Atlanta.; sisters, Emmie B. Clark of Graniteville and Shirley B. Seigler of Aiken; brothers and sister-in-law, Leonard and Lois Barnes and Harold Barnes both of Graniteville; five grandchildren and three great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister, Sonja Joyce Heath. She was born in Batesburg, S.C. but has been a lifelong resident of Graniteville. She was a homemaker, a loving wife, mother, sister and grandmother. She enjoyed baking and was well known for her beautiful wedding cakes and other special occasion cakes. She was a dedicated member of Christian Heritage Church in Graniteville; there she taught Sunday School for many years. Yes, she will be greatly missed by her family, many friends and all whose lives she touched during the 81 years that God granted her on this earth; yes, earth’s loss is truly heaven’s gain. A celebration of her life service will be held on Friday, November 12, 2010 at 3:00 PM at Christian Heritage Church with Rev. Stephen Phillips, Rev. Jonathan Randall and Rev. Jody Padgett officiating. The interment will follow at the Graniteville Cemetery. The pallbearers will be Boyd Kneece, Lynn Barnes, Richie Clark, T. J. Melton, Tedmond Melton and Cecil Goff. The Honorary pallbearers will be Joe Taylor, Truman Page, Chis Barnes, Charlie Padgett, Tommy Proctor and Calvin Odum. The family will receive friends tonight, Thursday, November 11th from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Christian Heritage Church. Napier Funeral Home, 315 Main St., Graniteville, S.
