Anna Turnage Flowers

December 31, 1969 — July 3, 2015

FLOWERS-Ms.Anna Oneta Turnage Flowers, age 88, of Aiken, S.C., wife of the late John Bunyan Flowers and daughter of the late Roy Turnage and the late Helen Albert Turnage, entered into eternal rest on Friday, July 3, 2015. She is survived by daughters and sons-in-law; Marie and William Salters; Jeanette and Harold Raynor and Myra and Vernon Carter all of Aiken, S.C.; a sister, Nellie Turnage of Columbia, S.C.; brother, Ray Turnage of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; grandsons, Daryl (Jaime) Carter, Brent (Jamie) Raynor and Brian (Phyllis) Raynor; great grandsons, Bryson Holsonback, Sean Cameron and Braeden Cameron; granddaughters, Beth Raynor, Brena (Billy) Cameron; great granddaughters, Gillianne Raynor, Brianne Raynor, Madison Raynor, Suzannah Raynor and Samantha Raynor. She was born in Kinston, Lenoir County, N.C. but has spent most of her life in Aiken County, S.C. She was a loyal member of Highland Pines Baptist Church in Aiken, S.C. In the last few years, she was unable to drive and faithfully attended Millbrook Baptist Church and was blessed with many loving friends. She was a homemaker, devoted mother, sister, grandmother and friend. She was a precious lady who always had a smile on her face for everyone she met. She loved her family, church family and friends with all her heart. Yes, she was always loving and always loved. She wanted everyone to know that she truly loved them. Glenda Napier stated that she referred to her as Ma Flowers, as she always treated her like a daughter and, on special occasions or just whenever she felt like it, she would send her a card with words of encouragement that would bless her soul and make you want to go on and never give up. She was definitely a special lady who has finished her journey here on earth and is now at peace with her maker, the Lord Jesus Christ. Heaven is truly a better place with her there. A service, celebrating her life and homegoing, will be held in the Chapel of Napier Funeral Home this Sunday evening, July 5, 2015 at 3:00 PM with Rev. Wesley Greene officiating. The interment will follow at Aiken Memorial Gardens in Aiken, S.C. The Pallbearers will be Daryl Carter, Bryson Holsonback, Brent Raynor, Brian Raynor, Billy Cameron, Sean Cameron and Braeden Cameron. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:30 PM until the hour of service. Memorials, in her honor, may be made to Highland Pines Baptist Church, 1530 Hampton Ave., NW, Aiken, S.C. 29801.
