Alvin L. Gregory

Alvin L. Gregory, age 68, of Warrenville, S.C., loving husband for 30 years to Lisa Rumley Gregory and son of the late Edward Leo Gregory and the late Eugenia Hattie Leopard Gregory, entered into rest on Monday, November 13, 2017. In addition to his wife, he is survived by sons, Alvin W. Gregory of Warrenville, S.C., Edward L. Gregory of Beech Island, S.C. and Alvin W. Gregory, II of Warrenville, S.C.; daughters, Alyssa Marie Gregory of Warrenville, S.C., Diane Ward of Kannapolis, N. C., Janie Tanton of Windsor, S.C. and Renee Shelton of Mt. Pleasant, N. C.; a brother, Freddie Gregory of Warrenville, S.C.; a sister Diane Hurt of North Carolina; sixteen grandchildren and three great grandchildren. He was born in and was a lifelong resident of Aiken County, S.C. He was of the Baptist Faith. Due to health issues, he retired from Carter Electric as an Industrial Electrician after sixteen years of service. He was a member of the American Legion Post #153. He was a US Army Veteran having bravely served his country during the Vietnam War. The family stated that he was a loving and dedicated husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. He shall be greatly missed by his family and all whose lives he touched during his lifetime. Death cannot destroy precious memories, and he shall live on forever in the hearts of his loved ones. A service, celebrating his life, will be held in the Chapel of Napier Funeral Home on Saturday, November 18, 2017 at 3:00 PM with Rev. Charles Wilson officiating. The interment, with Military Honors, will follow at the Warrenville Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home from 1:00 PM until the hour of service.
