BURR-Alvin V. Burr, age 67, of Trenton, S.C., loving husband for 44 years to Brenda Howell Burr and son of the late Charles W. and Lorene Zollman Burr, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, November 8, 2014. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Angela Cloyd of Trenton; sons, Michael Burr of Trenton, Eddie Burr and Steve Burr of North Augusta, Brian Burr of Warrenville and Thomas Burr of Winder, Ga.; a brother, Ronald Burr of Otisco, Indiana; sisters, Betty Cherry of Henryville, Indiana, Norma Goforth of Charlestown, Indiana and Ruth Nasby of Henryville, Indiana and twelve grandchildren. He was born in Otisco, Indiana but has made his home in the South since 1970. He was of the Baptist Faith. He was a US Army Veteran having bravely served his country during the Vietnam War in 1968-69. He was a retired commercial truck driver having worked for the LaFarge Co. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, brother, grandfather and friend who shall be greatly missed by his family and all whose lives he touched during the 67 years that God granted him on this earth. Death is not the end for the Christian as God has promised eternal life for all who believe in Him. He has finished life’s journey and is now at peace with his Maker, the Lord Jesus Christ. The family will receive friends at the funeral this Monday evening, November 10th from 7:00 to 9:00 PM. A service, celebrating his life, will be held in the Chapel of Napier Funeral Home on Tuesday, November 11, 2014 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Clint Jackson officiating. The interment will follow at the Warrenville Cemetery. The Pallbearers will be Brian Burr, James Cloyd, Jacob Cloyd, Stephen Burr, Nicholas Burr and William Burr.
