PETERSON-Mr. Elva R. Peterson, age 75, of Graniteville, S.C., husband of the late Phyllis Gorman Peterson and son of the late Lester Peterson and the late Lakie Mullins Peterson, entered into eternal rest from injuries sustained in an auto accident Sunday night, November 13, 2011. He is survived by a daughter, Burita P. Pitman of North Augusta, S.C.; a son, Elva R. Peterson, Jr. of Burnsvile, N.C.; sisters, Maxine Willard and Sonja Peterson both of Burnsville, N.C. and Kathleen Whitson of Bat Cave, N.C.; brothers, Kenneth Peterson of Crossville, TN. And Tony Peterson of Michigan; four grandchildren, David L. Peterson, Joshua E Pitman, Alex L. Pitman and Cameron Underwood. He was born in Burnsville, N.C. but has been a resident of Graniteville for the past nine years. He was a US Army Veteran and a retired construction worker. He was a devoted husband to his deceased wife, a loving father, grandfather and friend. He shall be greatly missed by his family, friends all whose lives he touched during his lifetime; however, he shall live on in the hearts of his family and friends. A service celebrating his life will be held on Wednesday, November 16, 2011 at 12:00 Noon in the Chapel of Napier Funeral Home with Brother Thomas Jackson officiating. The interment will follow at the Warrenville Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home this Tuesday evening, November 15th from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.
