KNEECE-Miss Alice Bertha Kneece, age 89, of Aiken, S. C., daughter of the late Vernon Kneece and the late Mary Lamb Kneece, entered into rest on Saturday, September 10, 2011. She is survived by a sister, Rosa Lee Doolittle of Warrenville; a brother and sister-in-law, Clifton and Shirley Kneece of Vaucluse; two nieces and four nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Richard Kneece. She was born in Vaucluse, S.C. and has been a lifelong resident of Aiken County. She was of the Baptist faith. Due to health issues at birth, Alice has never been able to work at a public job. She loved to do crafts, especially making flower arrangements. She also enjoyed playing bingo; and her brother, Clifton, stated that when he visited and sat along side of her, that she always seen to win. She shall be greatly missed by her family, many friends and personnel at Azalea Woods; however, there is a consolation in knowing that there is a better home awaiting her. A service celebrating her life and homegoing will be conducted on Tuesday, September 13, 2011 at 3:00 PM in the Chapel of Napier Funeral Home with Rev. Louis Swanson officiating. The interment will follow at the Vaucluse Cemetery. The pallbearers will be David Jordan, Tim Scott, Richard Johnson, Richard Redd, John Reynolds, Tommy Davis and Mike Harris. The family will receive friends at the funeral home this Monday evening, September 12th from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.
