JACKSON—Ms. Alice Hawkins Jackson, age 85, of Aiken, S.C., wife of the late Marvin Jackson and daughter of the late Frank and Lillie Day Hawkins, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, December 30, 2012. She is survived by a daughter, Margie (Walter) Moore of Knoxville, TN; a son, Glenn Jackson; a sister, Marie Green; a brother, Hulitt Hawkins all of Aiken, S.C.; three grandchildren, Amy (Hugh) Dockins, Doug (Dawn) Jackson and Jackie (John Paul) Hyche and eight great grandchildren. She was born in Monetta, S.C. and was a lifelong resident of Aiken County. She was self-employed specializing in making custom made draperies. She was a Godly Christian lady and a dedicated member of the Aiken Congregational Holiness Church. She shall be greatly missed by all whose lives she touched during the 85 precious years that God granted her on this earth; however, earth’s loss is truly Heaven’s gain. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, January 2, 2013 from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM; at which time (3:00 PM), a service celebrating her life and home going will be held in the Chapel of Napier Funeral Home with Rev. Clint Jackson, Rev. Jeffery Taylor and Rev. Charles Wilson officiating. The interment will follow at New Beginning Congregational Holiness Church Cemetery in Aiken, S.C. The pallbearers will be John Paul Hyche, Hayden Hyche, Clay Brown, Paul Hawkins, Danny Fincher and Nick Hutto. Memorials, in Ms. Jackson’s honor, may be made to the American Cancer Society, 2623 Washington Rd., Suite F-104, Augusta, Ga. 30904.
